Lightbulb Adjusting the headlights

At night the reflection of the drivers side HID headlight on the road is not as even and spreadout as the passenger side. Its leaves more of a "square" reflection on the road as I drive. If I pull up to my garage door at night both headlights appear to be at even level with same discharge. Can this issue be corrected via adjustment or is it simply difference in the the bulbs themselves???

They're not supposed to be even - the driver's side is lower to prevent blinding oncoming traffic.

Actually they both have the same beam pattern, just the right side of each is higher.

the way the lights are aimed, they converge on each other so it looks like one

Yah, our HID has two characters.

Sharp cutoff (you cannot see the far-away target without using high-beam)

The light on the right is aimed higher

You are correct. The beam pattern should be the left side low to prevent blinding on coming traffic and the right is higher to illuminate street signs.

Cush Acura in San Diego apparently didn't know about this. When I first took my car to fix various of minor problems (HFL locked up, headliner falling down, glove compartment fit issue, and headlight not even), the service rep told me that some lady was complaining about her MDX headlight not even, they adjust like so many time that it is still not even, so they finally gave up. A few days later, I read the forum and found out the actual reason of headlight not even, 2nd time back to dealership, I explains it to the service rep, now they understand.
Ironic. Hopefully, more and more TL forum reader will educate them, and next customer bring their new TL back to dealership, they know what to tell them...

I think they should make a call to Acura Engineering, that's the hot line for thier SVC dept.

Lots of dealers won't take any advices from their customers... especially when they know you learn this from the Internet forum...
