Lightbulb Acurazine

It's funny how my view on TL drivers is so different now. When I first purchased my car I just purchased it to save gas. Because my Escalade was way too much money to fill up the tank. Soon after I came across ACURAZINE, now Im starting to hook up my car. I was never big on forums, but for the first time im so intrigued with all the threads. My daily routine use to be checking my email box everyday. Now I check my email box and then check ACURAZINE right after. Not too mention when Im on the road now every Acura I pass, I think to myself I wonder if he's a member of ACURAZINE. haha

Just thought I share my thoughts with you guys.

Thats how it starts..becomes addictive
My friend never understood how I've done it for some many years until he got a car that he could hook up. He's on forums just as much as me now talking about stuff.

I have to agree... it is an addiction.....

Only reason I don't post as much as I used to is I have no time now with work... If that wasn't the case, I would be a post whore...

I agree. Before I found this site, I liked Acura's but not to the extent that I do now and I owe all of that to this site. My dorm room walls are completely covered in Acura pictures and posters

When the site goes down, I go through withdrawl. And the funny thing is, I have an active life away from the computer!

Just says what kind of community we have here at AZ.

I spend most of the day on here At my job I sit on the computer and work, so every 30 minuts or so I'll pop on and look for something interesting. Now that I've found the ramblings section I'm not over here in the car forums too much anymore. I think thats the next natural progression on the site.

Before purchasing my TL last October, I was on a couple of TL forums to check out the content and get good info on the cars. It did not take long to see AZ rise to the top and I quickly unsubscribed from the rest. Good job AZ and the people who contribute to it.

Everytime I get home from school I tell myself I'm not gonna turn my computer on and go on AZ, but instead do my homework. It never works, I just can't resist!!

I totally agree with everyone as far as it being addictive. Originally came on here to get a few mod ideas and to learn from other people's experiences and now it has become part of my daily routine to review posts. I checked out a couple other forums but AZ owns hands down.

I spend 3-4 hours of the beginning of my day on this forum. Every day I start my day by going over the threads and seeing what questions I can answer. And then I answer all the PM's and then I return to some of the threads. Then when I get home I check the forums again late at night for another 1-2 hours. This sight is so addictive.

My wife says I spend more time with AZ than I do with her! On the average I spend about 4-5 hours a day on AZ. This site is so addictive. I have met many new friends thru here, and would like to meet alot of the other members I've talked with. It would be nice to have a National Meet somewhere in the middle of the US. It's not to probable I'll meet you West Coaster's, or Floridians.

I HATE wasting a bunch of time on the internet

Let me start by saying the following things:
  • I work in the IT industry so YES, computers are my "bread & butter"
  • I have worked with SOOOOOO many people over the years who could waste their entire day doing nothing but surfing on the net. (we are talking almost EVERYDAY for them)
  • I have never understood this.
  • The ONLY time I would get on the net was if I needed to research something in particular, or shop for something.
Now, I have been converted by this EVIL site:-) I now spend at least an hour a day reviewing stuff on this site. (I know this is not much for most of you, but for a person like me who used to despise urfing the net this is a HUGE change)

Thanks to all the great moderators & members who make up a good forum.

This site is sooo addictive, I spend way too much time reading the various posts.

+ side is that you can find out a lot about your car on here and know how to go about dealing with various issues that can crop up.

Not to mention all the mods that are tempting to try out.

First Acura, 5th Honda product. Very satisfied so far!

I originally came upon this site when looking for a new car, the people and info on this site is incredible! Even though I ended up buying an 06 Accord EX-L V6 W/Navi(couldn't justify the extra $8000 to the Mrs), I still check out this site everyday. I even got a 20MM TL sway bar, deck lid spoiler and blue LED's for interior from here. I also got a chance to meet some of you folks at the last Central Florida meet at Winghouse. This forum is the bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to agree, Im on this site more than I should Instead of studying, I'll come on here telling myself that I'll only be on here a couple of minutes but it ends up being like an hour or two.

Actually, I have to write a paper for school right now, but instead I chose to come on here And my mom is yelling at me for wasting my time looking at things that are not important or what she thinks that is not important, but it is to me

Wow! A confession thread!...

Man! It's nice to know I am not alone!

My sad story:

I first started looking at this site at a request of a guy at a Flagship carwash who wanted me to get mod tips for my '03 TL-S. I thought, sure no problem. I can go on and see some things and then get off of it. I thought like everyone else, that I wouldn't get addicted. That I could still maintain control of my normal life. But I was wrong. We all were. Because...then...it happened...I GOT HOOKED!

First it was getting home from work and checking out threads on tips. Then I noticed something I wanted to respond to. But in order to respond I had to *gulp* join. My gf saw me joining and said "I thought it was only for tips, so why are you joining." I said I have to in order to respond to a post. She said don't do it. I said baby don't worry, I can handle it. But I was wrong...we all were...because I couldn't!!! I started answering all kinds of posts! I started PM'ing! I started running home and throwing my keys on the desk and going to my email to see what threads posted! If someone PM'ed me! Now I am buying key mods from Pete! 1/8 scale cars from Supercomputer! Saving up for all kinds of mods to my car! LEDs!! My gf thinks I need help, that I need a doctor! But I'm alright I tell you! I'm alright! I just have to order a few more things. Just a few more! Then I can stop! I can stop I tell you!

I CAN'T STOOOPPPPP!!!!!!!

...and I won't!

I bought my car, because I wanted something decent that will last for years. I was trying to get out of the modding thing after having an all wheel drive turbo. I found the forum on the internet one day just to learn more about my car. Well thanks to you guys I'm modding again!

hahaha... yeah... and even though this place does take over your life, it's SO worth it! I originally bought my TL as a nice car, but really knew next to nothing about it... then one fateful day I googled something and ended up linking to acurazine and never left

Yes, I usually head out to the office round 7ish in the morning. I am down to meet up one of these weekends.

Do you ever get the switchblade key mod? If so what locksmith did you go to in the area?

When I first got my TL, I google Acura TL so I could find some things do with it. I found AZ.com and about $3000.00 or so later I'm still here. And that was just what I spent and my car.

Then I find the Ramblings section, then the Camera section and about another $3000.00 later I'm back into a hobby that I was really into many years back. Not to mention the great information and advice and SOME DAMN GOOD FUNNING SHIT over there. I find the website like sitting in the back yard bullshitting with a bunch guys and some ladies.

And when I get to talking to other TL owners I mention this site.
