258 Horse Power????????
Mother F#$%%%er, Aint this some bull ass shit. Terrible, Terrible, Terrible!!!
Dont we all look like donkey asses when we have told people in the past that "Hey it has 270 HP". Not that I care what people think, it just makes eveyone look stupid as hell. SAE NET? they didn't SAE net the other cars on the website and I agree with the statement above we are not competitors of the G35 "Technically". G35 now has 30hp more that us Infiniti salesmen are bashing us at this very moment. No wonder the BMW M3 is soo much faster, it has 75 more ponies!

Those cars have not been retested.
The latest statement from SAE is that Ford, GM, and Chrysler will only use the new standard on new POWERTRAINS.
The european companies wont use it, period, at this point.
Toyota and Honda are the only companies using it and backtesting models.
The rest are using the excuse that they'll only use it on new powertrains that way they dont seem that they are losing any power.

I guess it could be any class that makes the marketing folks happy. It could be the classleading hp of cars that come in the colors of RRP, AM, NBP, ABP, DWP, etc. Or it could be in the class of 4 door Acura cars that are not the RL?
But me suspects they removed the G from the 'class' by defining the class as FWD cars? In terms of FWD cars, I would expect the TL is at the head of the class.......or the top ten,,,,or whatever 'leading' the class is defined by.

"The 2006 TL ushers in an entirely new era of performance sedan with an advanced 3.2-liter, 24-valve, V-6 engine that produces a class-leading 258 horsepower at 6200 rpm."
found it here: TL Engine
Does this exclude the G? I thought we were in the same "class" as far as the auto industry goes..

Is this something new for 2006 or did anybody else notice that you have less color options with the 6-Speed Manual with High Performance Tires and Navigation System.

The new horsepower ratings are more accurate than before. Manufactures used to test their engines under different conditions that would give them better numbers such at cooler intake air temperatures and no accessories. Now all engines under these ratings are tested under the same conditions as other manufactures and with the static load of all accessories.

So is the interactive interior thingie still down? I've tried several times yesterday and today, and it won't fire up.
The EXTERIOR one works, but not the interior.

"Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) with location and pressure indicators"
Does this mean it's a direct TPMS (with actual readings from each tire) ?
Anyone know if the 06 TL will get something better than the current key-fob (which gets all scratched up after a few months ) ?

No more RRP w/ ebony interior for 2006?! That was definitely a top color choice for me...stand out a little from all the common colors you see out there. I thought they were adding 2 new blues? Maybe they're not on the site yet due to trying to get rid of left over '05's?
And as for the steering wheel, I'd take the A-Spec over the carbon fiber/wood trim.

I like the carbon fiber steering wheel, but I'm not going to pay that much for one! The added accents might be nice, though- I'm going to see about adding them to my 05.

I really like the look of the darker wood package, however I think I would leave some of the pieces off of the center console like around the air vents.
