Acura's optional 18" wheels....

I might be wrong, but the optional 18" wheels look like exact duplicates of Nakayama Racing Sport Vador-5 wheels.

Check out the website for yourself www.nakayamaracingsports.com

It might be cheaper to buy these through discounttire.com than to buy them from the dealership...

just wanted to see what you guys thought

could be... Nakayama orginally made that wheel design for a prototype RSX 2 years ago I wanna say... they later made it a production model in their own line.. I don't see why Acura couldn't have asked them to make them for the new TL

They sure look close. Could be knockoffs? I wonder if they are the same color?

I like the size and design and shape of the 17" 's as well. I ordered my TL with the all season tires because of the weather in New England. I might go with 18"s for the summer with Bridgeston S-03's. If I do, I'll get the Nakayama's so I have a factory look without paying dealer prices....

You can get all season tires for the 18" wheels too.

I thought I had seen these wheels somewhere before, I just couldn't figure it out until I stumbled upon them by accident.

You have a sharp eye. I just compared them to my pics and you're right. Look at the center of the wheels. That's where you'll notice the biggest difference.

I can see what you mean. It's a tough call. The Nakayama site has the photo enhanced a little, where as the Acura pic isn't as bright and shows a little more texture. If they are different, sssh! :devilhehe) I'm going to buy them next year and put the Acura caps on them.

According to the dealer, the 18" rims are made by Enkei.

It didn't say, I'm not sure. I would imagine that if it did they would tell you with what kind of tires..

Nice find at acuraparts247. I would think that could be used as a bargaining chip/comparison at the dealer when they ask $2400 for the setup.
