These require drilling instead of the ratcheting that Mr.Heeltoe is selling?
Can you also provide side views to show how high the rubber inserts stand out?

Pedal Install
Okay guys and gals I got my pedals last week and installed them Thursday evening.
I was going to wait but I just couldnt....
Here is everything out of the box. I pulled my carpet out...
Then we pulled the rubber off the clutch and brake pedals.
Ducted some A/C in the car so we wouldnt sweat to death lol!!. Something my buddy rigged up for when we are working inside aircraft.. Theres Andrew (Kamlung) waving. He helped take pics for me..
We removed the foot rest. I decided to put it back on. Its just as easy to do it when its in.
We used the pedals as templates. Its very easy, just center the pedal where you want it then scrib the holes.
Heres a pic after its drilled
Here it is after its installed. We used some lock tight as well. That is entirely up to you.
The footrest is to easy. Just put it up there where you want and drill some pilot holes for the screws.
Then its as easy as just screwing them in. You really need the pilot holes, it just helps the screw go in straighter.
Then we pulled the throttle pedal from the bottom hinge. Theres a little clip you have to push on the back of the pedal at the bottom and then it just pops right off. It just made it much easier for us.
When we installed the throttle pedal we realized you have to place the pedal up from the hinge about an 1/8 of an inch or so. We did this so the pedal holes will line up with the holes that are on the back side of the stock throttle pedal. This pic is kinda blurry but it gets the point across.
and here is the final product.
I did notice however that the hardware is just a bit long for the brake and clutch pedals. So after everything was said and done I just took the cutting wheel to them.... I love these pedals. Thanks Dave for making a great product...

Nice job, trancemission! It doesn't look too difficult. What size drill bit did you use to drill the pilot holes?

Not sure really. I just used a bit smaller than the holes in the kick plate.
As far as the others I just mainly eyeballed the size. Ill find out the exact drill bit sizes I used and post them up...

What he ^ said!
I can't see any difference between the pedals in the last pic and the first pic. What did you cut?
Looks good. The one pic shows the height of the rubber. Looks to be about 1/4". Lot to wear.
How come your old gas pedal looks all worn like it gets mashed a lot?

Theres 4 bolts for each of the brake and clutch pedals. After they were installed they stuck out the back of the pedals quite a bit. So I just hit them real quick with the cutting wheel.

Hey trancemission
Does the Acura logo in the dead pedal still look like it's off center after the install?
Also, for close up shots that look blurry, use the macro focus button on the camera, usually with the symbol of a flower.

The group buy is here
https://acurazine.com/forums/sponsored-sales-group-buys-10/acura-racing-pedals-group-buy-342378/
Looks like $149 shipped to lower 48 states for new customers,
$20 discount for returning customers.

well if you look at the pics there doesnt seem to be anything covering that pedal.
So I would say it doesnt apply. I think it was done that way because of the angle in which you look at it.

Did Trancemission install it incorrectly or does the plastic strip panel not cover over the dead pedal.

Look at this picture again bro. Does it look like anything is covering the pedal?
All I did was lay the racing pedal over the dead pedal. Its cut perfectly to fit just on top of it.

Why exactly are you questioning the install now? Go out to your car and look for yourself.

Looking at your pics, the "Acura" is still a little off-center. Not noticeably of course, but still. There is no plastic covering it (either the new dead pedal or the stock one), so maybe we misunderstood Dave.

I PM'd him and this is what he said to me.

I was trying to get that cleared up because Dave did say that on the 1st page. Thanks for the responses.
And yeah, the pedals look great. I'm very tempted to get a set, since they're so much cheaper than the ones Mr. Heeltoe are selling.
