Acura tl mdx TPS?

I ordered a throttle position sensor and I was sent one for an 2003-2006 mdx. I didn't realize the part number was for the mdx. Does anyone know if it would still work?

Probably not, how could you get the part # incorrect?

03-06 MDX Fitment for 37971-RDJ-A01:

04-08 TL Fitment for 37971-RBB-003:

I looked at the first couple numbers and the seller listed it for an acura tl. I should've paid a little more attention definitely, but just wanted to see if it was interchangeable like a lot of j series parts are.

Interestingly enough, the 37971-RDJ-A01 on APW lists it as discontinued and here you received one.

If possible, link the seller's site so we can take a look at it?
It goes to show, whether you go to a local auto parts store or shop online, if YOU don't have the correct part number for your make & model item, don't depend on the part store counter monkey or the online vendor to cover your six.

it was off of ebay. I thought the part seemed legit in the pics so I bought it. I also now realize that it's way cheaper than what it should actually be.

The font used on the label is totally wrong/fake...www.oemacuraparts.com or the other handful of legit Honda parts disbributors. Stay far away from ebay, with Amazon not far behind...

I've learned that now. I usually try to stick with oem parts, I just gotta buy them from reputable sellers.

Thanks for the link!
Well, your TL part # is present on the seller's ebay page.

Maybe it has a universal fit capability in the cartrimshome2007 aftermarket world, lol.
Ebay other part #'s:

RockAuto selection at double the price, lol!

The dead give away is the substantially reduced price (80%) over Acura OEM.

That pretty red Honda label sure is enticing.

P.S. If you look at the two underlined rockauto part #'s for both the TL & MDX, you'll find they are different, lol.

Crazy how there's so many part numbers being listed for what he sold me. I guess it's what I get for trusting ebay seller's. I'm gunna ship that part back and get one from oem Acura parts. Buy once, cry once.

Where did you buy this? The label looks sketch as hell. Also why did you open the part packaging before confirming it was the correct part number? But to my knowledge this will not fit by cross-referencing the number.

I bought it off of ebay because I thought the part number and sticker were legit. I was just excited to fix this jerk when I press the accelerator.
