Exclamation Acura tl!

Hi guys, I'm looking to get an Acura TL 2006 (59k miles) this week its fully loaded but it has auto tranny. I never own a car with auto tranny. My previos car was a 330 ci bimmer probably the worst car i ever had.. so many problems steering wheel pump, fuel pumps, radiator, thermostat, headgasket and many more... ! I'm looking for a very relieble car but i hate toyotas .. Acura TL with this particular milage is a good buy? or should i take a look at something else? I would be very appreciative for every honest comment guys. Thank you!

I don't know. What condition is it in? How much do they want for it? Are there any flaws?

welcome bro!!! well my acura tl (05), havent had any problems, owned it since 03/09. great car, drives well, looks sick.
the car youre looking at seems pretty good, but ofcourse we dont have much to base it on except for mileage. and the price is a factor. good luck if your getting it. oh and btw, this is one of the best forums ive ever been in. but keeps you broke

r3n3gad3II Thanks man !
Well they want 15 k cash. The car seems to be very clean ofc it has a few dents but nothing serious. They keep telling me that it has no accident but I'm worry about auto tranny .. My all friends have a bad expirience with auto trannys..and I'm kinda scared that this car has an automatic ..

The auto transmission in the TL is relatively reliable, i have a MT myself so i cant honestly speak for the auto crowd, though if it was beat on, you're likely to have problems, but thats true with any car and any transmission

The mileage seems high. That's 15K/yr for 4 years at the more generous estimate. I suggest pricing it out with KBB. Of course, you are the final judge of the value of the car since none of us is going to be able to see and test it in person. Good luck!

Get a MT. If you've never had an auto, don't start with the TL. It's a blast to drive in MT.

I say carfax it and also, I know you can do this at the dealership near my house, but if you can, give them the vin and they can give you a very detailed synopsis (summary) of your car. I got my 04 with 70k for 13 grand so I say it is a good buy. The AT is pretty good imo. No problems.

If you're worried whether the auto is reliable or not, don't be and go for it.

If you're worried because you like manuals and you might miss it...I would keep on looking. I love my manual and the though of going auto would ruin the whole experience.

I've have an '05 with just over 70k miles...no issues at all. Either way, might want to do a carfax BUT I've heard they're not always reliable.

Good luck!

Get a manual!!! My 04 just turned 90,000 miles with no problems other than some of the interior lights going out and the leather/vinyl looking like crap despite me trying my best to take care of it.
