I don't know what you consider a "good" deal, but OEM Pad set w/ shims (#7) are $152.63 at AcuraOEMparts.com...

$150 is the cheapest you are going to get for the OEM pads.

DEFINITELY stick with OEM, unless you plan on changing your rotors as well.

That makes no sense. It's no problem to change out pads provided you do a quick bedding in procedure.

How do you think people go wheel-to-wheel racing with their street cars for the last 50+ years.

- Get to the track, swap in race pads, do a quick bedding procedure, go racing.
- When your done, swap your stock pads back in, bed in, and go home...

Street pads cannot withstand race temps, and race pads don't have the cold/initial bite for street use.

Anyways, my point is you don't need new rotors if your switching pad material. Just bed and go...

^ he's right, but personally I'd stick to OEM just because I feel it's the best. You lose slightly a little stopping power going off with aftermarket ones, and to me those milliseconds even count.

I replaced my pads only at a local shop in Atlanta ('07 TL-S), I had them double check to make sure they were OEM brembo's. They charged me $159 but I had a $25 off coupon, total cost with tax was $141. My lease is up in a few months, but the brakes were starting to grind. The car stops as good as new now, we'll see what Acura thinks when I turn the car in (ie, not real confident they put brembo's back on).
