Acura Oil Change Coupons

Folks
I rang up an Acura dealership and told him it's oil change time for me - any specials going around? He mentioned "I can go the the acura website and download these coupons ...' go to the service ' section ...it's abt $26 + tax."

I went to the acura site but could find no such coupons. Anybody know of any such Acura oil change coupons?

Who on this planet still thinks the stealership is a good place to have your oil changed?

Either do it yourself at home for the same price with better oil or go to an independant acura repair shop and have them do it.

Avoid like SARS- any quick change oil place

There are plenty of horror story post on here of overtightened drain plugs, smashed sealing rings and general disregard for your car at some places, and the next oil changer will find a filter way to tight as well!

Good times all around!!!!!

Never let the dealer do anything but warranty work for you

Unhappy Can't trust stealership anymore

I have always taken my car to the stealership for pretty much only oil changes and warranty work. I buy my own oil (Mobil1) and filter, and pay approx $10 - $15 at the stealership for labor. I can do the oil change myself but for 10 bucks, I'd gladly pass on the dirty work. It also helps me build a rapport with the stealership in case thy need to do me a favor some day.

I took my car in just this morning and as usual, the work order included "USE CUSTOMER OIL". However, when I got home and poped my trunk to put some stuff, there sat my unopened quarts of Mobil1 and the oil filter.
On the plus side, I got free oil and a free honda filter. On the down side, I am running dino oil instead of the synthetic I have been running for the past 40k miles.

Maybe I am getting paranoid, but I am starting to wonder whether they actually used my synthetic oil all the prior times I took in the car. Just one of those "things that make you go hmmm...."

You just now start to wonder if they have been jerking you all along and you have been supporting the mechanics race car oil needs???? bummer
If you never saw your empty oil cans...................

At 15 bucks labor you are not generating any goodwill towards yourself, just taking time away from real paying jobs

The only thing that should go hmmmmm is a Mazda Rotary Engine
The piston engine goes boing boing boing but the Mazda goes
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

That's pretty much the reason I go...I'd gladly pay 10 bucks extra for some peace of mind rather than take it to a brakes plus or a grease monkey....The relationships help a lot - even if it's warranty work you're gettign done. If you know a service advisor - nothing else - he can enure that a good mechanic gets assigned to your car !! Knowing somebody at the stealership is way better than just showing up one day even if it's for warranty work..

Did help me tremendously when I got my ABS sensor changed !!

If somebody in Denver needs a recommendation - I can pass on a contact. He's a super guy and take care of you real good. PM me.
