Acura All Weather Mats 2004/2005TL

For your information, I emailed H & A Accessories about the difference between the 2004TL and 2005TL All-Weather floor mats. The main difference is the 2005TL comes in caramel, so if you want caramel for a 2004TL and don't mind the extra hole, you could order that one.

Here is their reply: After comparing them, the only difference is in the passenger side rear mats. The 2005 has a hole for the retention pin to go through and a small bump out on the left hand side. All the other mats are identical in shape and look. The 2004 is laying on the 2005 in the picture.

I thought the standard mats were different, not the All season mats...

I'm so confused

Does anyone have a picture of the caramel (saddle tan is what hond.com calls the color) floor mats? I wonder if they would look better than black in a parchment interior.

Thanks,

i do not know, Phil, but I hated the rubber mats (WeatherTechs) I ordered, and returned them. I got Berber mats from AutoSport - they have worn great, hardly show any dirt after 6 months, and do not look as delivery truck awful (and smelly) as the rubber jobs. Easier on good shoes as well, if you are a quality footwear freak like me.

Mr Rage, or is it Road?,

I'm talking about the Acura OEM All-Weather mats. For 2005 Acura has added a new color.

What color is your interior?

The hole is for a hook to hold it in place, I think, like the two holes in the drive's side, only this one is in the front. I should have looked at the passenger floor when I was at the dealer yesterday but didn't think of it. Maybe next time.

Road Rage has a camel interior. Just for everyone's info, you can click on the person's screen name or avatar and sometimes, as in this case, it is listed in his profile, in the signature part.

You learn something new every day. In fact, I think I learned two new things today I just can't remember what the other one was.

I just purchased the 2005 TL All Season Floor Mats in the caramel color and they look a lot better than the black All Season Floor Mats. I have a camel interior and it matches/blends quite well. However, the only complaint I have is that the sides of the All Season Floor Mats are not as high lipped as I would like, to retain slush, H20, and the like from over spilling onto the interior carpet. In other words, the sides aren't high enough to keep shit from spilling and getting your carpet dirty.

I have a SSM /quartz, and I purchased the black all season floor mats. I think they look good and do a good job, the only complaint is that they scratch easy.

Is there any chance you can post pictures of the mats?

Thanks,

I use to always buy some cheap carpet or usually had some leftover in the house and I would cut the shape and make my own mock floor mat just for the winter, or at the least get a big dark colored towel and put it under the all weather mat so if any water or salt over flows, it will catch on the carpet/towel underneath the all weather mat.

I recently bought the black all season floor mats from hondacuraworld.com for my 04 TL and I'm having a problem getting the hooks into the holes. I attempted to move the drivers seat back to get the mat connected but it's not working. Is anyone else having this problem?

So you are saying that the holes line up and the mats fit and everything but its just hard to connect?? Mine are the same way, I just pressed really hard with my thumbs on both sides of the hooks and they finally popped through.

You have to feed the mat onto the hooks while its a bit vertical and rotate the mat down.

Yes, they look like they line up but I think the holes were made too far back near the front of the mat and I'm unable to hook them on. I'll try it again. Gonna have to break out the muscles!!! nah, just kidding

And I just realized how old this thread is!!!

Here is what caramel all-season mats look like in a parchment interior.

As said above, the driver's side mat (the only one with hooks) is tough to put in because they're very stiff.

I'm adding this to show the difference between the 04 and 05 mats.

04 mat is on the top.
