I came back with that on my last post because I noticed that you are my son's age....and recall getting this mod when HE was middle school.

Honestly, I liked the mod although the 5.5G Max responds better to a full header upgrade as opposed to just the Y-pipe.

i raced a 2005 maxima b4 the one with 265 i believe it was i took him by about 2 car lenghts and it was from a dead stop at a red light..i like the 2002 maximas better then the 04 and 07 ones i think they made them huge for some reason looks like a boat on wheels the older ones were nicer..im not to fond of the 09 one either looks like a shark coming at u..lol i dont know

 

I also raced a 04-05 Maxima SE 5spd Auto(stock) and took him by about 1-2 cars at the track when I had just intake. It was midnight madness so there was no timeslips.

I prefer the body style too of the 02-03 Max with the 3.5L. My buddy has the 01 Maxima SE 3.0L. Great car!

 

A question I've asked many times. Apparently many like living life 15 seconds at a time lol.

 

I'm sure F1 fans feel similarly about NASCAR in this regard.
