Accord Foglight Install WHICH LOOKS BETTER??!?!?

I cant decide which grill I want to use! I have the type S grill I cut first which looks good but the stock grill has the potential to look even cleaner. Also keep in mind when im finished the chrome bar wont go so far over the foglight.

I'd use the Type-S one. More unique than the other Accord foglight installs.

personally if you do the type-s grill with the fogs you should change the front grille to the mesh grill from the type-s so it matches.

I agree, if you keep the base grille then use the base grille for the fogs as well if not, then vice versa.

I just used the OEM base grill. I'm not a big fan of chrome and I think it looks a lot better without the chrome.

I'm not a fan of chrome in the lower grill so I vote for the base without chrome- it looks cleaner IMHO of course.

They both look nice.
I like the base but that's cause I'm biased =)

I agree, if you're not adding any other chrome accents to tie it in use the base. Then again. You can keep your uncut base ones to revert to stock if you sell the car and sell someone else your fogs

Well most likely I will never take these out because removing my Aspec lip was very very difficult I must have prepped the surface really well because that double sided tape would not budge! I dunno what to do i'm taking a break now to think it over. I feel like the base grill transitions better into the foglight shroud but I managed to make the type S looks very good too.

More food for thought

LOTS of cutting lol the first side took like 7+ hours but I was messing with the type S grill too. The next side took half the time knowing where to make all the cuts. Not completely done but most all of the cutting is done I went a bit further then most who usually install these lights pointing out to the side.

Looks great roger, Are they 03-05 Accord fogs?

the chrome srtip overlapping the fog, makes it look OEM

I'm doing my fogs this week. just before the Richmond Honda meet.
Are you willing to sell the honey come grills? I'm interested in them if so.

Make sure you get the glass housing and a glare shield.
For reference, since it wasn't mentioned, the non type S referenced above is my car. Hope the pics I sent you helped with the install.

PS...holy hell, 10+ hours on this!!! lol...I took 4 for mine and when I helped a friend we had em cut and in in an hour. Wiring took a little longer. You'll become a pro at this!

The type-s one looks better, but like what was mentioned before, I would use the base one to match the grill. Either way the car looks great.

I decided to go all out and buy the real OEM accord fogs. In my experience in the last 8 years modding my Acura legend I learned quite a few times how crappy aftermarket parts can be. I would cheap out only to have the parts break/fail and eventually get the OEM replacement instead in the end which always lasted much longer. Oh by the way the OEM Accord fog lights I have DO NOT have a glass housing, looks to be a high impact plastic.

Thats correct I had the type S grill with chrome strips then decided to go base and used the chrome strips which fit perfect with minimal modification. Is the non type S 07-08 have a brushed aluminum strip or is it also chrome?

Damn there are more variation then I realized. So there are two Type S grills one with chrome and one with a black bar with a different shape. The non type S 07-08 is satin silver. Now I need to decide if I stick with the chrome on the bottom I need to change the top grill to chrome. Maybe I should just order the satin silver bars?

Ya I like the chrome or the satin I want something there at least for now I tend to change my mind often so I'll make it removable.

Nope the grill area is longer on the 07 not to mention the 07 fogs are much more expensive. I think the accord fogs look much much better then the stock 07/08 setup anyways!
