accord fog light mod?

Is there a reason why no one just wires the accord fog lights to the original harness so you can use the original switch?

tapping into the original harnesses for power will put 2x the load on them and can cause a fire. The accord harness uses direct battery power to my knowledge so it does not strain the electrical system.

I have the same question, and am not sure i fully understand the answer that was given, so sorry if this is a stupid question but... The 04 tl fog light is in the headlight but uses its own bulb, with an independent swith from the headlighs. so if you where to remove the connection to the factory fog and tap into, and extend that harness for power to the newly isntalled accord fog lights where is the problem. again sorry if this is a stupid question

nono hold on.... cs is correct but.... if you use the orignal wiring as a relay trigger it can be done without issues as long as you fuse your draw....OR put 2 relays to draw current off of the same trigger.

+1

I would think just powering the relay to turn on would not be nearly the draw the lights normaly pull. I would NOT power the lights off of this factory wiring though.
