It's a way to weed out potential trouble. How many days do you have left?

To be honest I was always wondering about the Mods...Like obviosuly this cant be their only job, because there is no source of income comming from this. I just wonder how they spend all the time doing their job on here, while they make a living as well. Seems backwards to me, but hey, all the props to them because they obviously have a love for cars!

To the OP, you should have received an email such as this:

Hey (user name), welcome to AcuraZine! We hope you enjoy the site. Please note that during your trial period you will not be able to start threads in the Black Market sections of the site. You also won't be able to use the private message system, or add photos to an album right away either. As soon as you have accrued 5 posts and have been a member for 15 days, you will be granted this ability. If you see this notice and you have exceeded the 5 post and 15 day prerequisite, please wait up to 1 hour for the software to grant you this ability. Posts made in the Black Market, Group Buy, or Regional Forums are not added to your post count.

Welcome to Acurazine.

Thanks for the cudo's.....

Your correct, we don't get paid for moderating. We do it for the love of our hobby. As far as having time to moderate and work too, I moderator from work (when I can).

The mods on here do a great job to keep out the riff-raff, and they want to keep it that way. It's the classic adage on why certain laws become laws: it's because of past discrepancies. AZ had some trouble dealing with these people that would spam or do otherwise try to harm the website. The rule is in place to protect, to a certain extent, against that.

I'm not challenging the rule. it just doesn't make sense. I can post and still spam. but i can't look at car pics? i'll wait the 15days just a bummer as i'm brewing with anticipation to start making changes to the new car.

overall this forum has been more friendly than the WRX forums that i came from... so happy to be here.

Glad to have you. And glad you find Acurazine more friendly. It is a good group here, mixed ages from 16 to 60 something. So you get a lot of views, opinions, and expertise. You'd be surprised how many members just come on the forum to sell their car or parts and then nothing else. Yes, we do get spam also, but not all the time. These rules will not eliminate those things but it does cut it down quite a bit.

Check out the 3G garage for tons of information about TL's. Be patient and you'll soon be drooling over those HOT TL pics.

Again, welcome to AZ
