dude, that thread is 4 years old.
Purchase a charcoal rich cabin filter, and just maintain your car, and boom, fresh air (and once every few months do introduce mold killing spray into your system)
Hopefully one day all cars will be required to meet CADR requirements to truly clean the air you breathe...for now it's all bs.

Push the little button that says A/C. This will take the air conditioning system out of Auto mode. Each push of the A/C button will change the display between "A/C On" and "A/C Off". When it is off, it will be in the manual mode, and you can change the fan speed, direct the air where you want it, change the temp, etc.
I just bought my 04 TL Navi not long ago and I haven't been able to find out how to only use the fan.

I just discovered the cabin air filters with charcoal, the price is pretty much the same as a conventional filter. I changed my filter about a year ago, and it was full of crap when I replaced it with the new charcoal one. Air smell is much better, I look forward to seeing how this new one does.
