A1 Service Question?

You can take it anywhere you want, or do it yourself.
Either way, be sure and keep the receipts to show the work was done or that you bought the oil and filters.

Here’s the full procedure to reset the MID display.
(The procedure on page 196 (of the 2004 owner's manual) of the manual is incorrect. In paragraph 3a of the manual, the requirement to hold the button for 10 seconds the second time it is pressed is omitted. If this is not done, the display will not reset.)
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON
2. Select Trip A or Trip B (You can use either one, so if you are using one to record data for something, use the other one to reset the Oil Life Indicator).
3. Press the < or > button repeatedly until the oil life is displayed.
4. Press and hold the Select/Reset button for 10 seconds. The Multi-Information Display will ask for a confirmation.
a. If you are sure you want to reset the display, press the Select/Reset button for 10 seconds again. (This is the part omitted from the manual.)
b. If you do not want to reset the display, press the < or > button to select “Cancel”
This will explain what happens to the other services items when you reset the MID before the service due message appears.
From the service manual, page 3-6:
NOTE: If you are resetting the display when the oil life is more than 15%, the maintenance message "Service Due Soon" will be displayed. Make sure the maintenance items requiring service have been performed before resetting the display.

These instructions from the manual are missing a step.. has anyone ever noticed this?
See step #4 in Xpditor's post? After you hold for 10 seconds, the display will change. You then have to hold for another 10 seconds to get the prompt for confirmation.

When removing the old filter, turn it just enough to where you can remove it by hand. Then place a ZipLock bag completely over the filter AND the oil pickup arm to which the filter is attached. Then continue to remove the filter with the Ziplock bag in this position. When the filter comes free of the pickup arm, it and the remain oil in that area will drop into the bag and not on the suspension, you, or your driveway. Wait a moment to let all of the remaining oil come out (not more than maybe a half a minute), then just remove the ZipLock bag, drain the oil out of it into your used oil container, and close it up for the trash.
No muss, no fuss, no mess. Makes the job clean and a peice of cake.

Which is why I added this to the procedure.

Yep. Also, the 2005 TL owner's manual has a serious typo in the HVAC section for A/C use.
I don't recall the page number but under the instructions for obtaining maximum cooling, it says to set the temperature to MAX HEAT.

Q-Lube Place=fine
Acura=fine, but overpriced.
I'd just check and see what parts they use. Walmart, if you have one nearby, would be a good place if you have them use a major brand 5w-20 such as Pennzoil, and a Supertech Oil Filter since they only charge $16, then add a tire rotation for $6.
