What exactly is the A1 service and how much does it cost?

 

I believe A1 is only oil change. Pricing varies by dealer. Check your manual - it explains what A1 and all the other codes are.

 

A1 is oil change and tire rotation. Make sure they change the filter also. Should be around $25-30, just like any oil and filter change. The tire rotation should run around $30, but there are some warehouse clubs, like Costco or Sams that do it for less.

 

I just got my A1 last week, they charged $64 for oil, rotating tires and the inspection yada, yada, yada. I cant complain at all, the car was washed/waxed when I picked it up, and the interior was detailed.


If it is much more than 70 for the rotation + oil change go elsewhere. I also like it cuz i have the Acura maintenance journal to keep pristine records.

 

So A1 is something you can do yourself with a few jack stands. Do you have to take off the wheel to do future oil changes to get at the filter(or at least to take it out with oiling down your wheel?) I got my aircomressor and impact rench etc today, so I will prolly get some jack stands the summer so I can rotate the tires on our vehicles and change the oil.

Almost 15,000 miles on my 04 TL and the MID is says I need an A1 service. I called Rick Case Acura and they quoted me $98.99 for an A1 service.

 

this is not your first oil change is it?

 

My TL is in for A1 service as well (not the first). Price including inspection and minor fixes is about $65. AND I got a lovely TSX to drive for a loner car It's certainly fun driving it so far...

 

Mine was $97.19 for my first and last A1 at the dealer.

 

Nope. This is like my third oil change. Thought it would be a B service this time.
