A1 Service
I thought the search would answer my question but it didn't.
The manual says that '1' means tire rotation and that 'A' means change the oil. The manual also says that 'B' means change the oil AND the filter (as well as a bunch of other shit). My question is, does Acura NOT want us to change the oil filter as part of the 'A1' service? This seems odd to me. I think I will change the filter regardless. Just wondering what you all think or have learned from dealer service departments.
Oh, and one more thing. The manual says that changing the filter will require a special wrench. Do they simply mean an old-fashioned oil filter wrench or some new fangled wrench just for Acuras?
Thanks,

Acura recommends the oil filter be replaced on every other oil change, but everyone changes it each time. This is from what I have read here, and what my service manager says, and also common sense, especially considering the longer intervals between oil changes.
Many people write here and say their dealer doesn’t do the tire rotation on the first oil change, but it depends how many miles you have on the tires. I usually rotate mine at 7,500 miles, which I will continue to do regardless of the MID recommendation.
The “special wrench” is just what you said. The filter is smaller than any I have ever seen. I was going to try and find one that fits over the end, like the other 5 I have, but then I found I had one of those metal bands that you put on with a socket wrench and contracts around the filter, so I am going to use that.
Note: 1 hour is not too long to wait for a reply. Nobody here gets paid for this, and sometimes we are doing something else, so you could wait longer before the bump.
