Because you can't have an 08 UA6.

All 04-08 (base, Navi or no-Navi, AT or MT) TL's are UA6.

07-08 TL-S' are UA7.

 

I thought the UA wasn't the engine type, but kinda like another way to say "Gex X".

Like UA6 is Gen 3 (04-06) , and UA7 is sort of Gen 3.5 (07-08) since there were some large changes made from 06 to 07, but not enough to warrant it being an entirely new Generation.

I could very well be wrong, that's just what I heard. Also, who decides what the UA numbers are and what exactly does that even refer to?

Gen 2 is a UA5, so that makes sense being that it's the one just prior to Gen 3 UA6/UA7, but Gen 1 is a UA2, that's a big jump...

 

Also check your the folowing... they should be 225 35 20... and Mono amp

 

my tires say 225 35 zr 20.. and i have a mano amp.. i dont see how i did it wrong

UA7 = ACURA TL / J35 - TYPE S

look at your vin, it should be

19UUA7 or 19UUA6.

Just what I thought, the 3.2 is designated as the UA6 while the 3.5 is the UA7, the new TL should be UA8 for the 3.5 and UA9 for the 3.7 SHAWD...
