Is It?

Is it healthy for me to do 80mph in 3rd gear in ss if i am not redlining yet. I do hear a lot of noise but i feel the vtec because the higher rpms. All i want to know is will i hurt my tranny if i am doing these speeds in a low gear

it's fine as long as you don't hold the gear for too long, or abruptly apply/cut of throttle.

make sure you're in the vtec range, too. that's where all the fun is. my buddy would tell you how much fun this can be, but he already used his phone call allowance for the month.

SS is designed for that, but if you never break third gear in the lifetime of the car you are more then likely develope some problems.
