9200 miles service
My oil life is currently at 50% but there's a sticker on my windshield that says "next service due at 9200 miles." I called the service department and they said I shouldn't wait for the MID to drop to >20%, I should bring it in as close to 9200 miles. He also told me it'll probably just be an oil change. Does this sound right or should I really wait until the MID drops lower? Should they also be doing any other service besides the oil change? The service manual that came with the owner's manual has a bunch of stuff that should be getting done around this time. What's everyone elses experience been? Have you had anything else done or should have had anything else done?

When you purchased your car new, your first oil change should be at about 5800~6000miles. at 9200miles, your vehicle is still at 50%, I think MID is the correct reading.
Unless you had an oil change around 3000 miles and the technician forget to reset the MID. You should be good to go for another 3000 miles.

Low milage drivers should go with the monthy service as indicated in the manual.
If you wait for the MID to get there you could give up your warranty as you need to have several oil changes per year.

The manual says if the message does not appear more than 12 months from the reset date, change the oil every year. Nothing in the manual about needing to have several oil changes per year.
It looks as if Enj is driving sufficiently to be able to follow the MID recommendations. He should tell his dealer to bring the service department up to date on handling a car with the MID and quit the old practice of putting a specific mileage for changing oil on the sticker, which isn't necessary since the MID will definitely alert you when you are getting close to an oil change. It will also tell you, by way of specifying A, A1, or B, what maintenance needs to be done.
No matter what it specifies, A, A1, or B, do not let them sell you a high priced service, since all of these are either an oil and filter change, during which they should check everything anyway, or an oil and filter change and a tire rotation.

This will be my second oil change. Changing the oil early isn't a major deal to me, any other service that my car should be getting is my concern. I need to go out to my car and grab the service manual so I can list what it says is supposed to be done. If I remember correctly, there's quite a bit listed that should be checked.

OK, this manual is from the dealership, not from Acura.
7500miles:
change oil filter, add oil conditioner
check all fluid levels
minor tune up (set engine specs)
inspect fuel system, instal BG MI3000
adjust emergency brakes
check and adjust tire pressure
service front calipers
lubricate hinges and latches
computer diagnostics
check alignment
check all lights
rotate tires/balance front
check belts and hoses
check cooling system
check brake hoses and lines
check exhaust
undercarriage inspection
road test
At 11,250miles
change engine oil and filter. lubricate
check fluid levels
check and adjust tire pressure
undercarriage inspection
test drive
So, at 9200 miles if I get my oil changed I will have had 2 oil changes and that's it. Does that sound normal or should they be following this list?

Go by what it says in the manual for the specific message that the MID is giving you.
Do not fall for all the additional stuff the dealer says you need. It is nothing more than a way for the dealer to make more money off of you.

oil is all and maybe rotate your tires if you are so inclined... There shouldn't be anything that the car needs at this point. Of course if you like to keep your tires inflated more than they suggest as I do... the techs usually deflate the tires each time I brought mine in...
