89 ..
89 ..
so today my father took my car to his job because i needed his jeep to dj a gig.. he filled my tank u with sunoco 89... i always use bp 93.. what do i do? should i buy somethign to clean out the gas tank? should i just wait to my car gets on e to refill it??
you guys are killing me....nothing is going to happen...i used to run 89 every other tank or soo trying to be cheap and save a buck, but then i figured out it was costing me more to use the 89 as i was getting worse gas miliage....
Read the manual. It says you must use 91 or above for best performance but if you have no choice then 87 or 89 is alternative until you can find 91 . So you're ok. NO harm just loose performance.

nothings going to happen but if ur check engine light comes on just put in some gas treatment & fill it up with whatever u normally use & itll go off after a while... but dont lose any sleep over it. it was a simple mistake thats all.... next time just let him know if he has to put gas it has to be premium or put gas b4 u give it to him....
i told him last time he used my car if hes going to put gas use 93 bp and he did. whe he told me he put 89 i almost killed my self lol but he said he puts 89 in his acura mdx all the time but all well lol.. he said next time he knows

wow...Yeah octane booster might burn your 02 sensors out also, do you notice your car knocking at all? I haven't run anything but premium on my TL, but i do remember my G-Pa's Lincoln LS, it would knock with 89.
Look on the positive side, you got a tank of gas free!
There was probably some 93 remaining in the tank when it was filled, and as many have said before, just do a fillup when the gas supply dwindles down.
