6mt TL

HEY, my dad just bought a 05 anthracite 6mt TL with Navi. (Ill post photos of my 99 and his new one next week. WE have still have a photo shoot too do) I have never driven a MT before and i was wondering if the TL was a little tricky. I have heard that it was, but im wondering if anybody here has learned to drive a MT using the tl or has taught someone on the TL. I am having a hard time in "feeling the clutch" so to speak. I just want to learn how to drive it and its driving me crazy. Anyways i just wanted to know if anyone else had any problems? Thanks

The newest TL definately has a sensitive clutch. I have driven dozens of MT cars over the years and it is a bit different. It starts to engage very low in the travel of the clutch. I think just like anything else, you will get used to it and it will feel completely normal once you drive it for a little bit. It is only extra weird if you go from the TL to another MT car (like my Maxima).

Posts long ago talked about this. It is definitely different than any other MT I've ever driven. It was once related on this board that "it takes awhile, but once you get it right it's like sex."
