6MT Hard to Find?

Is it just the Mid-Atlantic area, or are the 6MT's with Nav impossible to find everywhere?

I'm being told by a couple of dealers that there are only a handful in the entire 5 state (MD, VA, PA, NJ, DE) area.

It's making it kinda hard to get any type of price deal. Or even actually find one in a color combination I want.

maybe... i got my car at west chester acura in PA... they had a lot of 6mt w navi... but if you go to Turnersville acura in Turnersville NJ,,, they don't even stock them... but anyway, when i was looking for my TL, the dealership told me that he could run a search and could locate one for me and i could have it brought to the dealership.. Unless, i wanted to order a new one and have it shipped from the factory... You have to be patient and look around.. i got exactly the color combo and specs i wanted... it was a feeling i will never forget..

6MT's with Nav are the hardest combo to find.
Compounded if you're looking for a color other than black, white, silver, or gray

I had to order mine and wait 3 months.

Good luck............

first of all, you need to remember, you are negotiating for the Right to purchase your specified car, NOT negotiating FOR a specific car. The nearest car type I wanted to purchase was 250 miles away. I was still able to negotiate the price from sticker ($35,900) to $33,000. They dealer ended up dealer-trading it for me, at no cost. It was delivered from Ohio.

my car : 2006 Silver TL 6 speed manual with Navi.

Do not attempt to negotiate for a specific car with dealer. negotiate the price of the model car you want to buy. After you have gotten him down to at or below $33,000 (i wouldn't pay 1 dollar over that at any dealer in NE america) , begin the process of either paying a hundred dollars or two hundred to have it delivered, or have them drive the car to you in a dealer trade, or even order a car from the factory.

By the way, my dealership, Spitzer Acura, in Pittsburgh, was amazing with this process. They not only ordered me the car i wanted, but they ended up doing a dealer trade to make it happen. So there is now the same exact car i ordered, sitting on the lot at Spitzer Acura in Pittsburgh. I garuntee you could get the price down to $33,000. PM me if you are thinking of going this route.

Yep...manual Navi is hard to get....often hit and miss or order and wait. Sucks on the deal making side of it....your right.

I got a better deal on a 5AT because they knew I wanted the 6MT, but they were willing to deal on what they had in stock.

trance,

I'm going to be back in Dallas in May. Last week we hung out at The Lodge in the Champagne room. You going to be around this time?

Good advice. I've started the price negotiation - right now at 33,210 with everything but taxes and tags. I'm going to tell both dealers in the immediate area that I will buy from the first one to 33,000. They will both have to do a dealer exchange.

But there are a few Anthracite/Quartz in the general area. And after looking at that combo on an automatic, I'm willing to do that instead of ordering a blue/quartz (and missing out on the financing deal).
