6MT Clicking noise

i dunno if this is normal but today was a nice day and i finally got to drive with the windows down. i had the radio off and when i was sitting in traffic i noticed that when i select a gear you hear it clicking in. its not so noticable when driving but in slow traffic i can hear it. i sat in the garage with the windows down and engine off and went through the gears. it clicks pretty loud. should i be worried? my last manual tranny did the same sort of thing but was not this loud, almost sounds loose. when the windows are up you can't hear a thing.

I'll have to check this out for myself. I don't believe I've ever driven the car with the Audio Transmitting device disabled.

Hmmm... I wonder if there's rumble too.

Yeah, mine clicks too.

Speaking of third gear....

does anyone else experience a slight vibration in third sometimes? I don't notice it in any other gear.

Phew... not just me than. I looked into diagrams for linkage and it looks like third is actually has the longest direct distance as opposed to the first and fifth. This lends it to extending the furthest from the tranny, so less slack to make up for the vibes.

At least that's what I came up with from the diagrams.
