It could be done but you obviously wouldn't be able to see the "shift gate" etc. You would have to go from feel and the gauge cluster info.

All one would really have to do is mod a leather skirt (OK, shift boot) so it would fit down within the 5AT trim area after you removed the existing silver bezel. IE - remove shifter knob, then remove the silver bezel then wood/CF piece around the shifter area. Fabricate a boot to fit within and to the bottom of the wood/CF trim piece. With the shifter knob off, fabricate/install a small donut of sorts on the shifter shaft so that when the trim and boot are slipped over the shaft - the donut holds the small upper opening of the boot against the bottom of the knob etc.

Presto - you have a 6MT without the third gear issue!
- Just kidding 6MT guys :-)

Good luck!

Sounds like a crazy idea but I agree, looks 'poser-ish'.

Don't understand how it would 'tuck-in' on a TSX and not a TL.

that would look about a 1000 better. To me the TL shift gate looks cheap. I would go for something like that too. I belive i saw a guy here with a TL that did it and it looked really good. cant remember who...
