5000k LED DRL's on 07 TL - Need advice
Hello,
I am looking to get 5000k LED bulbs for my DRLs. I went through a lot of threads but I was not able to find what I was looking for. Does anyone have any reference pictures and links where you got your LED DRL's from? I don't want them to be brighter than the stock bulb. I just want them to be pure white (5000k).
Thank you in advance!

thanks thoiboi!
I actually found a low lumen bulbs at vleds.com.
10 XB HB3 9005 H10 9145 LED DRL/FOG LIGHT BULBS | 1 PAIR
Are they simple plug and play or do I need to get some type of resistor?

well here's the thing, actually.. if you want low lumens, don't put in a relay kit to get the full power. it'll draw 6W and be dim (just the way you want it!), You'll need in line resistors to get rid of the dash warning light though!

Those VLED bulbs are a nice brightness.
Plenty bright in direct sunlight and super bright in the shade.
Not HID bright as the bulbs you're trying to avoid![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
You'll want a harness.
It wont be anywhere near stock halogen output running at 6V.

Thank you all for clarifying my LED's dilemma. I am going to order these bulbs and harness. I will post some pics once I get it done. Thanks!

"Bi-Xenon Headlights. The bi-xenon headlight ("bi" = two) is a more advanced version of the xenon headlight and allows a single headlight to generate both high and low beam. When low beam is selected, the light beam is partially shielded by a moving shutter."

So why don't you want full brightness? Just curious. Dim LEDs during the day probably won't be too visable as daytime running lights.
My DRLs are the linked bulbs from VLED, and I'm quite happy with them, although I do have a projector lens in front of them that smooths out the LED beam. Makes it appear as a more solid white light.

I found a thread where FamilyGuy shared some pics of his DRLs. This is what I was exactly looking for and that is what I ordered.

Thank you for a reference picture. It definitely looks good. Is it 6000k temperature? I don't want mine to be that bright since I don't want to give anyone an impression that I have my high beams on.

Yeah, mine are 6000k. From what I could tell, the 5000k seemed just a bit yellowish, so I went up to 6000k.
Haha, thanks man. Picture is from probably 2 year ago at this point...but the car looks pretty much exactly the same today.

I use the same 850 LM bulbs, and I thought it would be too bright with the relay also, but I did it anyway, because I figured that I'd rather be too bright than too dim. It actually turned to be just right.

Nope, it is just independent DRL. TL uses Bi-Xenons:
