you are prob right. It is hard to get an exact number because reaction times have to dead even to know.... I was thinking about 2 to 3 but five might be more accurate. I raced a older eclipse under 1995 and he ran 12.7 and I ran 14.4 that time and he was like 10 car lenghts in front of me.

 

At 90 mph, 1 sec is a little bit more than 8 car lenghts. 0.5 sec should be around 4.2. Add 10% for 99 mph.
