4th of july headlight swapping!!

Happy 4th of July everyone!! Well its my day off from work on this nice friday. I recently purchased a set of Type S headlights from ua6spec.....

I love the lights and it has been what i been looking for forever. The ambers are taken off by Ray himself.

So i decided to work on the lights, sith some help in the 3g garage on how to remove the front bumper made things more simple.

It was easy to remove. Now my question is before you remove the lights there are i believe to be brackets at the bottum of the headlight that i have to remove according to the scans on AZ.

Got everything removed and the lights will not budge. Took off all the bolts that holds the lights in place, all screws that holds the brackets, blah blah. Now there is this part that i am wondering it is this cover that holds the ballast. Pictured is to bolts that holds each ballast cover/bracket!

So my question is am i suppose to remove those to inorder for the lights to budge?? Because it holds the ballast and the ballast itself is screwed to the headlights.

Alright az give me some help please, and any other things that i am suppose to unbolt to get to it.

Did this about 5 hrs ago and i sort of just gave up and put everything back together

on the passenger side you are going to need to unbolt the reservoir also. You don't need to remove it entirely, but you are going to need to remove at least a couple of bolts to get it out of the way to get to those 2 bolts.. then just swap the ballast out.

yea, and if you have a stock intake, its a BITCH to get in there.... with a cold air, its a piece of cake.. i've done like over 20+ sets for people

also, dont forget there are bolts under the hood, holding the headlights on.... the bolts on the brackets, one of them you'll need a socket extension to really get at

you dont need to FULLY remove the windshield fluid tank,, just take out some bolts and push it away

exactly
remove those two bolts cause that's what holds the ballast to the car
they enter and exit in a funny way too... kind of like a puzzle

Just a few minor mods. Carbon fiber dash, carbon fiber engine cover. last meet i wanted to open the hood but i got nothing under there to show off. Now just got these awesome lights. I thought after i pulled the bumper off the headlights bolts will be the last thing to unbolt. But it turns out a whole lot of other screws, bolts have to be taken out in order to move some things just to get the bolts that are holding the brackets to the ballast. I might have to ripp out the bumper again this sunday and try again.

In the mean time the car isnt drop! I know!! no intake no exhaust, need bigger rims but when i do get bigger rims a drop is a must.

Thanks everyone for all your help. I will post some pics as soon as i get the headlights in!!

Wow just got done installing the headlamps and man these make the car look more better. Also installed was a set of kaixen 6500k bulbs. And of course i use chrome amber bulbs since i am to chicken to do LED, switchbacks. I will post some pics of course but it is gonna wait because i took the bumper off two times this week and every time i do i end up in pain, back pains, neck pains and fingers hurt from picking at the clips etc. Sorry guys its just a teaser for now till the pics.

There are two bolts on top, the plastic piece under the signal needs to go, so is that metal bracket under the front of the headlights. 3 bolts i believe holds the lights at the bottom. Then the two bolts from that ballast brackets (you got it though)!
