Then something is wrong with your system; you should easily be able to get up into the 30s before you start noticing distortion.

OP, was your dad a salesman or regional manager? That's a ton of miles on an '06. But the real miracle is that the tranny is still going!!!

Hehe, just turned 313K today. Pretty sure I'll still have my TL when it turns 400K in about 3 years. Not sure about 500K... The big test now is how much longer will my original clutch last?
