good god, folks....sorry for the rankle my other thread caused. i'm a first time user just trying to get some advice from fellow, well-researched and knowledgable TL partners as i try and figure out how this 2004, 2005 consumer reports best-in-class, almost brand new perfect condition automobile isn't selling.

carmax is great advice and i'm checking them once they open in a little bit.

No need to apologize, you didn't do anything wrong. Through no fault of your own, the thread took a wrong turn and rets rightfully cut it short. Yours was a legitimate question which unfortunately spawned some illegitimate answers.

Hope this one stays on course and people don't mess this one up.

carmax-i called them. they gave me range of estimate....but i have 100 mile drive so i could rack up extra 200 miles and get lower number than dealer will give me. seems a big risk time and effort wise.
thoughts?

 

I don't see much risk in putting 200 more miles on it. How else you going to get a price? Not likely someone is going to ring your bell and say here's $30,000 or what ever
the figure is. Should take what 1/2 to 3/4 of a day including everything?

IMHO, gotta put in some work and take some chances to get anything done.
