3G Tow Hitch?
Has anyone seen a third gen TL with a tow hitch installed?
I got a motorcycle I would like tow on a few trips with me, nothing too heavy but I don't know how it would look on the TL or if it's even advicable.
Let me know what you guys think and if you have any pics, it would be appreciated.

I typed in tow hitch in the search engine and came up with these:

There are a lot more. I'm hungry and wanna go order food for dinner so I'm too lazy to post the rest of the links. Search my friend. The info is out there.

draw tite and hidden hitch...same company...same hitch....same price at etrailer.com
even cheaper if you can find it used.
i'm not sure its advisable to tow anything more than a hitch rack for bikes on the TL. i know people have done it...but still.

not sure what you are referring to (the hitch or the use of the hitch to tow stuff with the TL) so i'll explain both:
well some people may not know that those two are essentially one in the same company. the instructions have a list of part numbers for the same hitch (1 for draw-tite, 1 for hidden hitch, 1 for u-haul, i think there is another one). just in case people think that draw tite or hidden hitch are different hitches...when they are identical. the curt hitch...that's a completely different company with a similar design (as far as i know). valley hitch is another option as well...not sure if they are related to any of the others...
as far as towing stuff...the owner's manual says it is not recommended. its a sedan, its not meant nor built to tow heavy stuff (hard on the engine, suspension, tires). a hitch rack for bikes is not straining enough to tax the car except maybe to throw the handling of the car off by having 100 pound load hanging off the back end of the car (and yes it will get squirrelly). you wanna tow heavy stuff trailer with toys, boats...get an SUV or a truck.

I meant towing. I don't think it will hurt the TL to tow light loads like less than a 1000lbs. Anything over I tend to agree with you. I towed a light trailer and my 1000cc sportbike with no problems with 2 Infiniti's I had. A G35 and a I30T. Hardly could tell the trailer was behind me so I don't think the TL will be hard pressed. Just my 2 cents
