I am curious. Who would win this race. A 2005 Acura TL Auto VS a 2004 Jetta VR6 Manual. Now I know the VR6 would prob have the advantage off the line. But overall who would win in the outcome?

My friend in a Red VR6 challenged my Black TL.

 

So does anyone have input on this?

theres alot of varables when it comes to racing..

Even with an AT, the 3G TL should outgun a stock 04 Jetta VR6.

 

Well I guess I will see soon. I remembered them being quite quick off the line. But if you guys think my TL will win, more power to me. Haha. Literally.

 

Lookout for those red cars! hah .. Havent had any experience with the newer ones but I raced an older VR6 with intake/exhaust and pulled on him 4/5 runs by 2-3 cars. Im 6MT though.. but I think you'll be fine!

 

Off the line he will hang but you should pull after that.

 

hmm whats VR6 mean? just wondering... cuz i raced my friend's jetta from like a 40 roll... destroyed him x_X he had exhaust/intake/bov x_X lol iono if its the same as a vr6 but it didnt seem like a challenge lol.

 

Not sure exactly what vr6 stand for but I know it's the 6 cylinder engine. And with a bov im going to assume you raced a 1.8t

 

u raced a slow 1.8t.. e/i/BOV ain't gonna do shit to those cars till they are chipped, then that's a different story, but i smoked 2-3 chipped GTi's before... Bad drivers possibly?

I beat one pretty bad, like 1.5 cars.. the other one was i/e/chip - beat him by 1/2 a car. Not much, but winnings winning.

 

I can't remember what VR6 stands for, but they are special because the angle between the two cylinder banks is 15 degrees only, which makes it quite compact.
