So last night I was just chillen, going down Bluemound with my friend (G6) to go down to HWY (race scene). Hes in the far right, im in the far left and an old guy pulls up in the middle. I had my music going... techno remix of Rob Zombie's Dragula (I was in a fast beat mood). Anyway, he has his windows down and hes in his 40s - 50s so I turn the music down a little and roll the windows up so i didnt set his pacemaker off (lol jk!!) but i didnt wanna be a "young punk" blarin the music.

The light turns green and I go, I didnt go fast but of course my wheels spun (stupid 1-2 gear) and i slow down instantly cuz i didnt wanna waste gas before I got to the strip... little do i know this dude takes OFF so instantly I SS down and floor it we are neck and neck, i look over any my buddy (G6) is on his side, I start pulling on the crossfire.... i couldnt believe it... i dont know what their specs are, but i assumed they were faster than this guy was going. My buddy has a 6sp 3.9L G6 that has NOTHING on me from a rolling 20 so i wasnt worried about him. I ended up winning and slowed down at 70... no cars were around but i didn't wanna get another 39 over speeding ticket (dont ask - i was an idiot).

I was kinda impressed with myself because i wasnt looking to race and at the last minute i was still able to pull ahead and in ... in an AT at that!

Just thought I would let yall know...

The regular Crossfire is maybe a high 14 second car on a good day. Just stay away from the SRT-6 Crossfire, it's low 13's.

yeah i dont even know what this one was... it was red with a gray haired dude in it LOL i wasnt behind to find out... my buddy (g6) thinks hes a car expert said that he had a turbo in there... theres no way he did, he said it comes stock.... im looking for the specs right now, but does anyone know for sure.

it was not an srt-6 as he would have crushed you both easily. the stock crossfire has a 3.2L V6 NA engine putting out about 225HP/215tq(roughly) stock and weighs around 3300-3400lbs) it is about as fast as a 2G TL-P.

Oh by the way the srt-6 has SC not a turbo which puts out 333HP and is very fast. Your buddy knows nothing about cars if he keeps saying all these cars have turbo's stock. The G6 GTP has a 3.8L SC engine good for 260HP/280TQ just like in the Grand Prix's.

Thanks for the info!!! I should have been able to beat him (the g6) then huh? granted he does have 6MT and i have 5AT.... but still, I should have beaten him

Good race! Crossfires are nothing but old Mercesdes SLKs...unless..like others have said, it's the SRT-6 model.
