Meh. Sure it looks like crap, but the owner had to have put them on for purely practical reasons. If they park on the street for any duration, the bumpers take a beating from other cars. It reminds of lower-budget sci-fi movies that depict 'futuristic' police cars by repainting late model civilian cars and attaching things to them.

It's hard to tell from the pics, but behind the bars is also that perforated flexible bump strip on there too.

UHmm....i'd say WTF!? but i think that's going though everyone's head. A custom built bull bar type maybe intergrated into the TL's bumper system might be ok...IF and I stress IF it was done properly and tastefully to add to the TL's looks. Just to buy one and stick it on is.....i dunno....kinda Redneckish? (and i live in the redneckville)
Another thought.....Does the TL even HAVE the necessary mounting surface for one of these things? I had an 03 Nissan Xterra that I had a full bumper guard on and bought rear guards as well.... and it had the necessary frame space and cut outs for one to be installed. but that was a suv made for offroading.

Ok...like for real...who in the hell would even think of creating something like this for a damn TL!!!! And 2nd if you take a good look...like WTF....there is not even a single car parked within 10 feet or more...!!!! I mean if your planning on throwing the car off the side of a cliff then it will survive...but seriously????

I really, really want you to meet this person because if you asked them, I'd bet even money they wouldn't say they installed it for loox. Most likely, the majority of their parking is done on the street and probably got tired of people knicking the bumpers while parallel parking. A TL may not be the highest end, but it's not a Chevy Cavalier either. Knowing people like you are out there thinking stuff like this is "cool" scares the heck out of me. Show some respect for it being a luxury car.
This comment never makes since to me. Whether I'm standing directly in front of the car or looking at a photo someone took standing directly in front the car, it will still look like crap. Now if you told me that the bumper guard was going to reach out and offer me a handjob, then yeah, that's definitely something to see in person (if you're into auto-erotic sort of thing, that is)
