lets put it this way my 1.8L 140hp bmw keeps up with a stock A4 1.8t, my 1.8L bmw get its ass handed to it by VTEC Civcs on a daily basis.

Put money on this race cause the outcome is certain, espicially if its stock

the only factor that kinda throws me off a bit is that he has AWD, so if he gets a good launch he will pull ahead in the beginning, and he might decide to shut it off as soon as he goes thru 2nd gear and say he won. do it from 30mph roll and shut if off at around 110mph, its a guranteed win. you can even play with his emotions at this point, make him think hes winning then acctually step on the gas lol

I would think the maximum hp output of that 1.8 L engine would be ~300 with turbo upgrades. With stock internals of course - could definatly do more, but bye bye stock engine... I could be wrong, but I just dont see that happening with the 1.8.

If he had the 4.2 turbo, like the RS6, then that's a whole different story

When I had my 97 2.2 CL I beat a chipped 1.8t at the street races and boy that little bastard was pissed. I was expecting to get my ass handed to me, since he had S4 wheels and was dropped so I assumed he was really modded and I was dead but the 145hp 2.2 CL prevailed that night.

1.8t a4 even with quatro is so slow. i raced a a4 with a full exhuast, intake, and chipped and i even beat him off the line with my stock 99tl

A4's are a joke stock. No lie I have held even with a 00 A4 1.8T in my wifes 98 corolla, Iridium plugs, mobil1 syn and CAI only, from 20-70. after 70 he started pulling on me, but not that much. those cars are heavy for their size, corolla is only about 2600lbs and is pretty quick for an econo car.
