Hi everybody,
I am looking to put tints on my '06 TL, but I've been reading posts and people are saying the tints are getting scratched.
Now, I know these people are putting on thick/dark tints, so my question is...
Will 45% tints scratch when you roll down the windows?
If anybody has experiences with low/light tints for 3G TLs, give me some feedback.

 

I have 35% all around w/ mole skin...no scatches yet.

 

I read a few posts about moleskin, they said you can hear the wind once you install that.
It defeats the purpose of purchasing an Acura. I don't want to hear wind when I'm driving.

 

It doesn't matter what % tint you have it will scatch if you do not install the mole skins on your window wipers.

The car is still very quiet with the mole skin. I didn't notice a difference in road noise/wind noise with them.

 

Scratched tint on the 3G TL has always been a problem and to my knowledge has not been resolved by Acura. The installation of the moleskin (felt) prevents scratches and is considered a quick fix. I have not read anything about hearing the wind when moleskin is installed on the interior wiper (located in the door). The problem with the wind probably occured if the wiper blade is removed or in some cases trimmed. You can purchase a kit from flnsx (authorized vendor) or visit his website.
