Questions about the TSB, when the dealer replaces the hose do they flush the fluid or replace the O-ring that makes the noise while their at it?

 

Flush? No, but the TSB calls for 3 bottles of new PS fluid, so they should replace the old, drained fluid with new fluid.

New o-ring? Yes, clearly stated in the TSB.

Holy crap, they have to remove part of the exhaust to do this!!! At least they'll break the rusty bolts loose for me haha!

 

nfnsquared, that TSB says it does NOT apply to the type-s models.

i noticed last week that my PS hose appeared to be leaking a very small amount, so i'd like to get it fixed. am i screwed out of a warranty replacement since i have a 07 type-s? mine is A/T...not M/T.

04-06 TL-ALL
07 TL-ALL except Type-s
08 TL-From VIN 19UUA...8A000001 thru 19UUA...8A005506 (except Type S with M/T)

also says...

In Applies To, the listing for 2007 TL Type S models was corrected by removing "with M/T." (This campaign does not apply to ANY 2007 TL Type S model.)

 

I'm not sure if hoses are covered under the standard warranty. You'll have to read the fine print or just call your dealer and ask. But no, it appears that your car is not covered by the recall.
