Looks good, Adam.
I've never taken it off either...I got it down to about 4 hours for all 4 calipers to change the color.
I took my time and you'd never see the overspray or anything.
Pretty sure the caliper bolts seize due to dissimilar metals and probably salt...
I found the white brembo decals always popped best.

I first sanded down using a palm sander, to do like 90 percent of the caliper. then the remaining 10% by hand.
Sprayed paint on once (just a thin coat)... it would really highlight any imperfections that I otherwise couldn't see on the black surface. Sand it some more.
Then apply 4 coats of paint.
Then 3 coats of clear.
Probably overkill, but my painting skills are far from perfect. I ended up redoing areas of the caliper a few times... Basically wanted it to look as OEM as possible. It's also pretty cool here still, and all I had was a space heater pointed at the caliper to dry the paint and clearcoat. I waited several hours for the clear to dry. It was the waiting time that took the longest. I could only paint half of the caliper at a time. Then wait to dry. Then flip over. do the same.
The reason I unbolted the calipers was because the actual mounting bracket on my car is rusted, so I can't even mask it off properly. The tape just wouldn't stick to anything. Plus I figured then I can evenly coat all sides, nooks and crannies.
I was able to reinstall the mounting bolts without issue. I think it's the rookie DIYers who generally had issues. To loosen the bolts, I put my socket wrench on the bolt, and rather than put crazy torque on it, I would just hammer the end of the handle, to give it quick bursts of force. Would it have made a difference otherwise if I just pulled as hard as possible on it? I dunno. But it came off with out issue. Then when reinstalling, I would only use my fingers to reinstall. I would go as deep as possible and then back the bolt up (I painted in the threads). This wore out the paint and nicely brought it to the top. Then back in, until I was able to get the bolt all the way in. I think I had to back out each bolt three times before getting it all the way. Then I just retightened the last full turn or so using the socket wrench again. Worked just fine.
I was wondering if people weren't supporting the caliper when trying to put the bolt in. I could see that stripping threads if there was a lot of weight and misalignment of the hole/bolt/something rather. There definitely was not rust build up in there, on mine. Aluminum doesn't rust and the bolt was totally clean. I think it just takes some precautions when dealing with aluminum. I dunno.

I was all hyped last night. We had a "team building" activity at this place called The Clam Jumper and I was like bit then we got there and it was actually a place called The Claim Jumper and it was only a steak house.
So I got the fish tacos. And wouldn't you know it... They were just pieces of fish in some tortillas.
So disappointing.
