no, no, no. You can't get it if you go ass-to-mouth. See, because when it goes down your throat, your saliva kills the Aids and you're good to go. It's even recommended you go ATM over and over, just to be safe.
I ended up removing my Brembos to paint them properly. Leaving them on just seems... Half assed. How the hell do you paint the backside of the caliper properly, and not bleed paint all over the mounting bracket?
I havent stripped the caliper threads yet. I'm hoping it just takes being very careful when reinstalling. I spin the mounting bolt in just using fingers... If there's too much resistance, I back it out a bit, and go again. The first caliper went back on ok, but the second one is still drying. The clear coat takes forever to dry. Sigh. Was hoping to get all four done this weekend but I only did the fronts. I made the mistake of not waiting long enough for the clear to dry and end up having to sand the fucker down and redoing it.
CS,B. I got nothing else. No one is saying anything so I'll continue rambling with myself.
Why paint the backside, who is ever going to see it . Just mask off the holes with tape?
i dunno, so if I or anyone else ever works on the car, they're not like "who the fuck half assed this shit?"
I sanded the whole caliper... Every nook and cranny. If I'm gonna do it, I might as well do it right.
The brembos are notorious (apparently) for having the threads strip on the mounting holes. The caliper is aluminum and aluminum Doesn't do so well with being torqued. Not sure how often they shit the bed, but I've seen a number of threads about it, even in the last year. I think you just gotta be as careful as possible when putting the bolts back in. Or I dun o, maybe I still will fuck one of them up. I hope not. I'll find out in a few hours.
Yeah I was scared about the stripped bracket too so didn't use any power tools when removing or installing when I did my brakes last month. So far so good ...

oh shit, I'm a taco dummy. I forgot that every Type S had brembos too. This is the second time I've removed them. I did it a few years ago when I replaced pads and rotors and it went ok. I didn't even know there was a potential issue back then lucky me
the fix looks easy enough, with that steel thread insert kit. But it's pretty pricey for what it is.

Yeah. This one is actually not terribly counterintuitive. There's a little button right in the middle of the center console thing with a circular arrow and an "A".
I thought it was some sort of automatic recirculating AC thing... But the AC controls are down where the cupholder is. The circle A means the dumb engine shutoff thing.
The CLA /GLA line is such bull shit... It's supposed to be the watered down more affordable option of Merc's but it's basically a shittier basic C or GL . Why do companies insist on trying to increase their market penetration rather than focus on their target demographic
Yeah son, no sun for the last 5 months lol. I will pasty white there. I used to fake tan a bit before going somewhere but these I don't give a shit. I'll also be sure to wear my camera around my neck, wear knee high socks and slap a Canadian flag patch on my murse. Tourista!

what I don't understand is cars like the CLA45. Why the fuck are they making such a pricey variant of what is supposed to be an entry level car?
Looks good, Adam.
I've never taken it off either...I got it down to about 4 hours for all 4 calipers to change the color.
I took my time and you'd never see the overspray or anything.
Pretty sure the caliper bolts seize due to dissimilar metals and probably salt...
I found the white brembo decals always popped best.
