Kev, he means an electrical signal booster in this case, not :thief:. Just if that was confusing.

on 2nd thought...how does the device that's hard wired perform?
how does your phone perform when standing in front of the router/modem?

determine if your source is okay first.

Fuck Acura Parts Superstore. They advertised that they have the carbon fiber pieces for the TL so I bought them. They have not yet responded to my e-mail on when they're going to be shipped or even if they have them in stock.

probably not that specific store, as it's probably discontinued........

I had to resort to junk yard parts because this one part i needed was discontinued with no timeline to begin production, etc....
the car is almost 13 years old

I know it's discontinued. I'm pissed because I SPECIFICALLY saw the link for the OEM CF trim pieces. I clicked it, and the website said it was in stock. So I ordered it. I got a confirmation e-mail that I had placed my order. WTF. If they don't have any in stock, which I suspect is the case, then why the fuck did they advertise it?

That's false adverising, plain and simple.

but i think its deeper than that.
I think Acura still has it in its computer systems

acura doesnt give a F!
I remember I ordered a brake line for my 2006 straight from the dealer.
except when I got the part, it didnt fit.
Acura changed the part# without letting the dealers know or changing the internal code for that part#

it sucks, but this IS how they operate, you and I cannot change that, but only to play by their rules

Only thing hard wired is the alarm for the house.

When I'm in the room my phone works fine and the laptop is hit and miss. I'm getting a new laptop because my current one is older.

I have to move the kids rooms around because I have to put the baby in the room next to us. So the modem will be finding a new home, I just don't know where yet.

I think I'll move it first, and if that doesn't solve the issue, I'll try something else.

The website needs to be changed. It's false advertising.

I bet your newer built home uses Cat 5e for all the 'phone jacks'.. When i was living at the last house that had that, I replaced all those jacks in the house with RJ 45 ports and then went to where the phone company has their equipment, RIPPED it all out, put in a switch and installed the modem there too. Boom. Now every room is hard-wired with Ethernet

I did that for a few of my friends' homes too..

Yeah, the cost savings of cutting your phone line should more than surpass the increased energy usage of that 1000W spot light
