In honesty, I don't even really eat all that... On occassion I will. I'm more of the Mexican Chinese food type of black man.
My madre, did used to cook like that on Sundays when everyone lived in the vicinity, cousins, aunts, uncles etc.

That food is delicious though. I maybe eat it once a year, if that. I just can't pull myself to eat anything deep fried these days, besides fries on occasion. I feel like it's Christmas, every odd time I have fried chicken. That shit's delicious.

I too am a HUGE fan of legit Mexican food (no, sadly tacobell doesn't make the cut). Chinese food though? It's all shit here. Like serious shit. There's only a handful of authentic places around here. The rest just live off the deep fryer. That shit ain't Chinese! Give me some salty fish and fried egg rice though. Or 1000 year eggs. Or anything that I can't get at the fucking food court. Take me to any place that has filthy bathrooms and a filthy kitchen (you KNOW those places make legit Chinese food )

Calgary is okay.
Where you're at...ehhhh...most of it is Cantonese food or NA-ized Canto food and well, not a great presentation of what Chinese cuisine is. Mind you, GOOD Cantonese food is amazing.
There's a joint called Beijing2 that I think would get a decent grade.

I went for Korean food with Wifey tonight. It was pretty tasty. Don't know how to pronounce any of the food we ate though :Rolf:
The server suggested we tried the "bahbeekyu dahk". Wasn't sure if she said duck or dog.
Please don't hurt me, Yummy.

Korean food is always good. Gotta love Korean BBQ...although, I think there's been an epidemic of Korean fried chicken which I think...is overrated. Then again, it's because I don't care for the sauce they use that makes it sweet. Savory please.
My only gripe with K-food is the price. Just like Thai...I mean, it's tasty but for the ingredients, it's not terrible exotic and yet, a couple dishes later, it's easily $70+.
