I'm not sure I'd buy the new gen V until they get the kinks worked out of the C7 Z06.

Those things were terrible. At the Caddy dealer I worked at back in high school, those things were in the bays for days and weeks at a time.

I don't know the backstory, but again.. we're talking :pb:

I've used ramps for over 10 years. Not one issue. The only issue I've had was when I lent my brand new ramps to my bro so he could change the oil on his MIL's van. He fucking ran them over, van almost toppled. Now one ramp has a gash from the sub-frame and the other has a huge burn mark from the exhaust. FFS.

It was sketchy because even though I did a controlled climb, the lip barely rises over (1-2 cm) and the power pushed one of the ramps over my garage lip. I'm building a static 2x4 ramp for the V so it won't slide around.

Yeah, you're right. I don't really know what I'm talking about. I have no first hand experience because like you say, the only real exposure I have was in the old grandpa days.

I guess I can say that FIL has a Escalade that's a few years old and I guess there haven't been any real problems.

And it sounds like you're well covered and know what you're getting into. It's more risk than I'm willing to take, but then again, I'm a pussy.

I'll still be happy to drive it for you if you want to get some prospective.

Just put it on jack stands! Justn can give you pointers on stand safety.

I like the idea of that sort of warranty, Joe...I would feel good about it too. I'll admit, B's SRX has been trouble free too...smooth, still drives like new 40K miles later (on a new set of tires)...I put in HID's and the quality of the way the bumper/engine covers go together is very obviously superior. There's a reason they drive how they do and drown the noisy outside world out. Even that heavy SUV with just the 3.6 gets going...I can only imagine the pleasure of pushing it with a big boy motor.

CU, my passenger seat is open for a little fresh prospective, if you like.

My work Ford transit is a POS...but then again, the guy before me beat on it badly.

97% of filed patents never earn enough to even cover the cost of the patent.

So basically I came up with a pretty good (I've been told it's great) idea, and there are already some patents out there which are very similar, though not identical, to my idea. Yet, nobody's fuckin building it. What do you think is the best way to proceed?

They jerked me around. I was at the dealership 4 times over 3 weeks. I stick by my guns, if it doesn't work out, then it wasn't meant to be. Even in the end they tried fucking me over.

Even the finance guy was trying to sell me the wrapper for almost $2k. My tenth and final no, he was like.. what if I give you employee pricing knocking it down by $1200.. wtf? I checked out the contract company and it's legit by GM.

No secret, just know the price you want to pay and go for it. I bought a few cars private party by low-balling (i can only afford this much, I know it's low, but here's my number if you reconsider). Usually where the buyer is moving, etc.

Fucking file.. if it passes, it passes. It doesn't have to be completely unique, although the mechanics / physics of the device have to have some unique properties.

Basically it can't be like.. here's this design which has a patent, I put a cupholder on it, totally not the same.

Also consider who holds the patent on the others, and when do they expire. If they have money, they'll crush you. Look at Apple and Samsung.. like wtf?!

I used to carry a notebook where I'd write down my ideas for things that would make our lives easier.

Just dreams in my head...no idea how to make them happen. I should find it.

Anal beads only come with used Odyssey's, just make sure you buy it from a female prostitute.

Spaceman, I'm not joking about the sonata being faster. I'm not happy about it.

You can say it's all driver error, but I dunno, I've been rev matching/heel toeing for years and up shift as fast as the transmission will go.

It's not butt loads faster, but it still did beat the TL every time.

Not to mention my TL has exhaust, intake, intake spacer. I'm sure that freed up 5hp
