Hey Guise!
We have fresh meat in the fuel thread. Probably recruited by Rustylogic to come in shut shit down.
However his choice of words Clearly breaks Rustylogics rules. I wonder if 911 is going to be called now?!

Well fuck.. the M156 (C/E63 engine 08-10) has a known issue for head bolts popping off and playing does it blend. Fucking MB is trying to charge $42k (not even a crate engine, piecemeal) to the customer to fix it.. but hey, we'll cover half the costs because we're not jerks.
Are you fucking kidding me. Fuck MB. This issue is mostly caught when coolant disappears without leaving a drop. Apparently a sieving head gasket is the main symptom. Then the techs at MB at many shops tell the customer.. oh we need to replace all the pistons, rods, bearings too!.. Well.. did you do a leak down and compression test to confirm this?? no.. we know already. Fuck you motherfucker. Many owners said after paying $1k diagnostic fee.. took it to a indy shop to get new weistec / arp / revised studs put in, new gaskets and running again for $5-10k. Guess what.. rod(s) weren't bent. Fucking assholes.

Not sure if it's just piss poor luck that it happens or just a matter of time.
I'd still hit it. If it failed.. I'd crash that motherfucker into the dealership.

It's child's play. Not a big deal to pull that motherfucker out and update the bolts. At least it's not like the E60 M5.. vanos oil pump fails.. not even a chance. The honing tool for it cost $15k alone. Crate engine is $26k. Might as well sell it for parts and buy another used one. At least with the MB, not catastrophic.. unless it hydrolocks.

Gotta pay to play with euro cars. That's why I'm still Rollin' in my Japanese stuff. I'd love european, just scares the shit out of me.
And yeah, 42k for a repair? You can almost get 2 older c63s for that price. Or just a newer c63 in general. Such fucking bullshit. Even if they're nice enough to cover half and you "only" pay 21k... At that point you might as well just add to the price and get a different c63. For fuck sakes.

And I'm sorry, no piece of engineering is worth over 40k if it shits itself. What are you paying for besides the name? You can grab an ITR crate motor for like 7-8k, and it'll run just fine for a quarter million miles.
Ok, double the pistons and components for the MB. Double the price to 16k. That seems a lot more realistic. Fucking crooks.

Getting closer to the current year just makes it that you're going to take more of the depreciation value on your shoulders though. Which sucks hard time with luxury cars.

Ya ain't getting the good head homeboy.
love the look, dislike the price vs what you get. I'm glad other people buy them so I get to see them, and that's about it haha

I would get an IS-F or '15 Accord GT over it though.

Are you kidding? Other than some leaks, it's phenomenal. Doesn't really have great presence.. that's a brand identity thing with Audi.. but it's dirt cheap in comparison + great looking interior and the motor is eye candy.

So what's with the wagon love? Trying to understand. Was never my thing, but some people are all about them. Am I missing something?
