Being a good responsible boy that's trying to keep my eye on the end prize.

Took huge loan on 401K to put 20% down on home. Losing compounding interest for 5 years won't hurt now (aside from the $600 out of my check every month) but the big picture...

Chip "The Machine" made me an offer that made me decide I had to do it. We agreed on a price, he flew down Friday with a buddy, stayed the night and hit the road back to Jersey Saturday.

The perfect storm of circumstance and it puts us in a position where we'll be able to pay back the 401K within a couple of months. He's happy, and I'm trying to believe I'm happy knowing it was the best move. I'll have another one or something else in the future. In the meantime, I have house work to keep my idle hands occupied.

Wow.

Must be been a bittersweet moment, J. But, good on being financially responsible...

I bet it was super tough though to give up the S2000, cuz you loved that car and hell, we all loved staring at it.

Big time, H...big time.
I made the mistake of watching Chip drive it around the block and watch it drive off. Oh well...so low to the ground and sounded so great. In the end though...if you borrow X amount, you already know it's a loss of DOUBLE that at retirement time if it's not compounding.

Plus, I want my full paycheck back...

Sucks all the perks for new home buyers are gone. Remember the time when the gov't was giving out $8k for home purchases, plus <4% interest, plus only 3% down... shiett.

Crabs.. remember when I was all like.. be careful about what this guy tells yous..

He seemed like a joker when he joined, glad I wasn't the only one to see it. Plus the whole.. I'm a fucking expert shit.

We're all experts on the internet, no need to tell anyone.

Whatever, he pulls engines, puts them together. Frankensteins heads for no reason. It's fun to watch. No need to be an Italiano over it.

I lost the incidental stuff like taxes/tag and about $1500 in mods and money spent. Then again, I enjoyed it for nearly a year. He offered a solid offer, we agreed to 2K less than that because it was what I could live with AND would convince me to sell AND wouldn't make him feel ripped off.

No wheels, he wanted the stock wheels only. Got a line for a buyer for what I have into the advan from the previous owner of them.

In all fairness, I didn't know the car was for sale. I still kinda don't think it's for sale and it's already gone now.

He gave you an offer and you undercut it by 2k.. I don't think you know how this negotiation thing works.

I have small qualms with TLX, mostly how they cheapened the fuck out of it, and the general direction Acura has taken. I really don't have anything against it.. other than it being boatish.

I will say this.. I had a friend sell his car to another friend, only to watch said friend fuck the car up royally. He'd see it once in a while with a new cheap mod, curb rash, dings.. bugged the fuck out of him. In the end, he wished he would have sold it to some bozo out-of-state so he could live in ignorant bliss.
