Considering a second car myself. M3, S5 and NSX are the top contenders and I'd gladly choose a well taken care of nsx over the others. The rarity appeals a lot to me. Until I find a decent deal, I'm patiently waiting.

Well, it dips to -40 Celsius come February regularly and easily. We don't see snow stop until late April.

I've seen snow in every month since living here except in August. Compound that the roads here are trying to imitate the conditions in Afghanistan, and well, yeah...not great.

That being said, there are heaps of exotics here. Lots of money here (oil). Just couldn't do it at the time...more practical to keep the CL-S (although, the Versus kit proved to be a snowplow) and save up for a house (which I did).

That's a true trackers car IMHO. Not a lot of power. Not a lot of tech. Not a lot of space. Just one amazing platform.
So what you're saying is it's a really marginal car that should be praised for it's mediocrity.

The NSX is amazing. But for the very same reasons Yummy mentioned loving it, I don't. If I'm going to go for a car like that, for decent money, there are much more practical options.

Go read for days on end at Audizine or a5oc. You'll see just as many problems here as there. Sadly, theirs are just more expensive to fix.

I think J also puts a bead of clear silicone on the outside for extra protection.

Our issues are minor in comparison.. thus more reliable.

Wow, that review of the NSX by Yumcha put it on my radar aside from having seen one up close, that sounds awesome. Practicality would thankfully be something I'd be sacrificing for a weekend fun car.

Story, I use nothing but Butyl. Since my first time doing heads or tails, I've realized that no matter how hard you try, you will likely reopen to fix or change things so I try not to make it any more difficult to open. I use just the butyl around the seam, then wet my finger and spread it over the gap (). Wetting your finger keeps it from sticking to you, I've had no issues with water intrusion in my tails thus far and always reuse the gaskets from my oem set.

For the headlights, I finally caved and bought clamps to hold the lens together as the butyl sets...I ran a TINY bead, I mean, less than a 12" section of the 1/4" butyl rope that I rolled into a ball and pulled until it was a minute strand that I ran across the rear headlight channel just for my own piece of mind. In my oem set in the attic I found that the heavy use of butyl actually contributed to not closing correctly and just making a fkn mess everywhere. Chad was right but only for the headlights, I run a thick bead of clear RTV along only the TOP of the heads.

Nope. For the most part I never had leaks either.

I've learned something new about how to mod the heads/tails every single time I redo them.

Yeah I'm going to have to redo my headlights at some point. Had a bit of condensation in the right one a couple weeks ago. Never came back but I'd prefer to seal them better anyways. When I first did them I had a shit load of OEM butyl left over on top of the tiny rope I created for the headlight channel, so they definitely aren't seated properly. I'm pumped to try out the tails. I'll be cutting open a smoked depo set to experiment on

ebelp, John Linn. My boo.

story, slight condensation that clears on it's own...I'd leave them alone until you have something major to change inside. Just my advice.
