Price was embarrassingly high, and I had to drive 8 hours to Atlanta to get it.


Regardless, I regret it not one bit. I wanted a KBP I found. It was much cheaper and had the XLR8 cat back already installed. She was $4k less but I couldn't feel comfortable buying a car in California and having it shipped to New Orleans and I couldn't set aside 4 days to drive it back so I bailed.

 

Stay away from buying other peoples "Project cars".

 

For sure. It was completely stock otherwise. I do feel better knowing mine was stock so it is like a blank canvas ready to be painted. I'm definitely keeping the stock look. I'm probably just getting the A-spec kit, vinyl the roof gloss black, stage 3 exhaust with j pipe and HFC or PCD. Not looking to be tacky, just have my fun and turn a few heads here and there.

Once I collect the kit, it's just paint and sweat at that point. It's definitely an investment and I'm going to hold off on anything that isn't super necessary because of the timing belt service, hopefully next month or two. I just have to get my funds straight before I make any big moves. Maintenance before mods, that's the rule! Only reason I lowered the car was because one of my struts was leaking when I bought it and I had coilovers sitting in my living room taking up space so I kinda had to use them

Nah, this replaced the Accord as my daily. I still have it, I just don't drive it much at all. My mom pretty much exclusively drives the RDX, which is now at 344k miles.
