^ Haha, no worries. What gets most people about his landspeed car is the fact it's a freaking convertible. It's what he had when he started out so more props to him, but he's been asked to drive and provide input on a new landspeed car that is being built. He usually doesn't drive fast on the streets (although he has before) because to him, it's pointless. He can wipe his ass with the AEM landspeed Civic on the flats if he feels like speeding, haha.

And I'm still not sure where I said it had anything to do with ultimate track speed either. A 328 will still be less work to negotiate canyon roads at 8/10 than any FWD at 8/10.

my 03' TL-p with an Icebox can beat an 06' 325i.. your 07' has about 40hp on me and i know 328's aren't THAT much faster than 325's, dont even sweat this kid..

Both of those will destroy all stock TL's. The 330 however, is well matched for base 3rd gens.

The 330 is a joke compared to the tls...they simply can't win anytime they race me; and I'm auto....when I said the 335i and the m3 are the only worthy ones I meant we should try to mod our cars to beat those....all the other 3 series bmws like the 330,328,325 etc. Are just a waste of my gas and time....the 335i is fast b/c of the twin turbo. Let me put a s/c on the tls then we would be even and it will smoke the 335i and m3.

The M3 is a mid-12 second car. A blower on a TL-S 5AT would make it a mid-low 13 second car at best....at least without frying the tranny.

That said, the quickest version of the 330i is nothing that a stock TL-S 5AT driver should sleep on. LINK

You guys really don't give much credit to other makes. The 328 is a legit 14.6-14.8@94-95mph car which is right in line with an auto TLS. When it comes to handling dynamics, the BMW owns. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...st+page-3.html

330s are 14.3-14.6@96-98mph cars.

Smoke a new M3??? I wanna smoke what you're smoking....lol. Might as well go after C6 Vettes while you're at it. You'll still get waxed with a supercharger. And a chipped 335 is also well into the 12's. I'm pretty confident there are no 12 second TL's in existence. It's no wonder people get their egos crushed around here on a daily basis.

first, the link doesn't work. second, i was referring to the i6 m3 not the v8. third, not that many ppl here in cali want to fix up a 330i (at least the ones i've encountered)....even the manual ones are stock and i guess the ppl who've raced me have missed a gear here and there and that's why i've pulled...so not really worried bout those cars

why would you think i was talking about the v8 m3? i'm not that dumb to think that a v6 tl can beat a v8 m3. but a s/c tls can probably take a stock I6 m3 (sry i said v6 before ). and i agree w/ you that chipping a 335 get you in the 12's blah blah blah...what i was saying was that if the tls had a s/c then it would take the 335i that already has twin turbo. maybe i'm just weird but there are not that many ppl where i live that have 12 second 335i or turbo m3's. ppl that mod their cars are mostly the evo's, sti's, mustangs, civics, etc. maybe i'm not looking hard enough or maybe i just don't care about their cars as much as i do mine. also fyi, my ego hasn't been crushed yet. i know who to choose my battles w/ and who to hold back from.

i raced an I6 m3 probobly a 99 and my 02 tls held its own in a race at 115 i had almost a car length on him mind you both cars were stock
