3 G35s

Well i had a pretty decent night last night. My first run was against 07 G35x. he said his car has 306hp stock since it has the new high rev motor. The kid seemed real chill so we decided to have a run at it. We did a 30 roll, as soon as we started i jumped ahead by a car. I stayed in front of him till i put it into 3rd and then out of no where he jus passes me. his 3rd is alot stronger compared to mine. I have this on video ill post it once its up loaded. i had a passenger he didnt.

second run was against a 06 G coupe we were just messing around and did a few rolls. i pulled on him hard and i shut it off around a 100 and i was able to stay ahead of him.

third run was against a 06 "Skyline 350GT" well thats atleast what his badges said. I chased him down just cause i wanted to kill a skyline lol. We finally got open room to have a decent run and this clown takes off beore i could even line up. i took off after him and i caught of to his bumper and pulled up to him at the next light. My buddy asked him if he wanted to run off the line, i just looked at us and shook his head like it wasnt worth his time lol. i was like what ever a roll is better anyway. so i eased off the light and i heard him down shift and gun it. since i was prepared to run him off the line, i had my VSA off and i had it in 1st gear since i was gate shifting it. I gunned it as soon as i heard him. we were neck and neck until i popped it into 2nd. i pulled on him hard in 2nd and putt about a car length going into 3rd. i shut it off around 110. boy wasnt he suprised he didnt even wanna do a another run.

Thats how my night ended

I raced my boys stock 6MT 07 TL-S off the line this morning. I was able to beat him by about a car and a half. he wasnt able to get traction.

There are MANY stock cars that will beat your modified Acura.

An '07 G35 is nothing compared to what's out there. What 'till you run up against a new, base model 'Vette (430 HP and 3,300 pounds). That's going to simply walk away from you even you've got a blower.

well an enzo will eat a vette, whats your point? im talkin about the cars in our class, not full bred sports cars runnin 12s or under stock. Im talkin about the luxury sports sedans such as Gs 3s ISs etc

the reason I am sayin this cause I own both a TL-S with i/h/p and a G coupe with 6 speed, it just feels a bit more aggressive in acceleration.

i think the 6mt is more aggressive than the TL-S. but when dealing with 6mts it turns into a drivers race since he might not be good at shifting. the 07 i dealt with was auto the 2 coupes im not sure about.

I remember a long time ago i raced a G coupe 6mt with mods and i had I/P and he ripped me new one hardcore. he just kept goin.

its pretty hard to drive it in 6 speed version comparing to Honda/Acura manual. 2 weeks and I still can't get used to it. Clutch is too heavy

whoever is drivin that 6mt TLS needs to stop racing until he learns how to drive..just embarrasing himself and the TLS reputation...tell him to drive down here ill show him how he spent 15k too much to get beat by a base model..

now imagine those G's had all the bolt ons we had....we would not even stand a chance at all. Nissan to me is one of the fastest japanese cars out there.

you talking about rev up motor? if yes, than they do have "bottom" power ,I've seen 0-60 in mid 5s, thats very good bottom end .

but 335i and IS350 can do that in less than 5s! May be that's why he said the bottom end isnt that strong?

I can see why that's the case, Nissan deliberately tuned the G37's engine for top end torque/power, but in the mean time sacrificing low end torque. The thing is, it's easier to drive a torquey car fast than a car with narrower powerband...that's also why a lot of people can't get good times with their TL's/CL's.
