So I went to the track today, beautiful day. It was mid 40s, I think it got up to 50 but am not sure. I made 4 passes, consistently better each time

I was a little disappointed because my initial goal was to break into the 13s, but I came about as close as you can get. Also, my highest trap of the day was 100.82, which was higher than I expected. I am currently uploading the slips/videos

Ironically, the last video where I said "worst run of the day" was the best haha.

Remove your back seat and spare, it'll help you get to 13s, and powershift 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 4th.

Lol nah it's not like that. I don't wanna take out all that it's my daily driver, she's my baby. I don't powershift because I want this car to last..meaning longer than if I did PS. Plus the factory clutch is p.o.s.

I think it was an old Monte Carlo.

I spotted and had a run with a black TL-s w/Acurazine sticker on the Garden State Parkway. Cleared taillights, Evo2 exhaust, lowered. It was nice, does anyone know who this could be?

Nice work stuffing the e36. That Jeep doesn't look that strong at barely 101 mph; you could probably put up a good fight with him on the highway.

What were you launching at? Seemed conservative, but I think that's key with these relatively high powered FWD cars. Drag radials would get you to 13.70's I bet.

Actually, add the DR's, pre cat deletes and a cat back and pulley and you'll have one of the quickest AV6's anywhere.

I was launching basically like I was at a stop light, only much harder. I tried 3k the first run and had so much wheel hop the camera fell so I deleted it. That was the 2.5 60'. I then tried easing into it more and more each time and got my best of 2.24. There is still plenty more left with a good launch. I'm still on factory rubber too ugh. I got a good feel of how to launch her, unfortunately it was on the last run.

I'm looking out for PC deletes next hehe.

.

The Jeeps are really tough off the light and clean through the 1/8th.... due to them being Oh SO aerodynamic (sarcasm here) they dont lay down the most impressive trap speeds. I will say though that 101.13 is downright slow for an SRT-8 GC.... they usually lay down anywhere from 103-105MPH with better 60' times 1.8x-1.9x and ET's in the lower 13's (I have seen many 13.3x's)

Nice runs and really nice trap speeds SonnicK

100+ is still damn impressive for a stock SUV. If someone had told me ten years ago there'd be a Jeep that would run low 13's @ 105 bone stock, I would've laughed at them!

I would have to agree 100%.... The performance of many stock vehicles now a days is nothing short of Impressive.

I can remember when I had my 1992 Mustang LX 5.0 (back in 1994/1995) and I just cracked it into the high 13's......that was screaming fast back then. Hell a well driven 6MT Type S is capable of that.... a friggen 4 door sedan. Then you have cars like the M BMW's AMG Benz, CTS-V caddy, SRT-8 charger and 300C.... 12 second sedans (maybe with the exception of the SRT-8's running 13 flat). Technology is an amazing thing

My 1996 Grandsport corvette ran 12.80's bone stock, I put a 125 shot of spray on it and was clicking off 11.6's@122-123 MPH.... my current Z06 with a set of headers, Blackwing intake and a dyno tune runs 11.6's@118-119MPH crazy to think isnt it??

Nice runs. You should take the spare and jack out at least. It will make it a hair quicker but more then that it will be 50lbs less on your drive train. I see 13's in your future with an improved 60'.

Yea, I finally got the hang of how to launch her, too bad it was on the last run. Next time at the track, on stockies, 13s

Dare I say with the addition of PC deletes..102mph trap? With < bolt ons?

OK, apparently he's having some mad traction problems again, posting a best time for the evening of 14.3 sec @ 98.96mph. Kid needs to invest in a pair of R-compounds.

Impressive runs for what you have, and nice shifting. I bet you can get into the 13's with a bit more practice launching.

Great runs! Nice job rowing thru the gears. BTW using some quick math had you been about six feet ahead of where you were when you crossed the finish line would have netted a 13.99 or better time. Maybe go with less fuel in the tank, ice down the intake, everything out of the trunk. Good luck!

Great job. Those are very good numbers for a 3.0 engine. Man, I wish I also had a 6-spd on my 2004 Accord EX V6 Sedan.

and if you can break into the 13's with the 5at and just those basic bolt ons then dang i'm sure i can too with all that plus an exhaust and i'll be satisfied with my 5 speed haha.

Honestly..not to be a debby downer, but I think you would need more mods than that with the 5AT. Peterguy with those similar mods and a 2.18 60' with the TL-s ran a 14.02 @ 101.8. With the 5AT base and those mods, you may need a 60' of 2.0...good luck!

haha yeahs i figured, jsut some wishful thinking xP but i wonder if anyone with a 5at boosted posted a time up? you think it'd be as good as the 6mt's? i really hope boosted will get you into the 13's =\ if not... epic fail on the 5at 3g base for life.

no way with an auto are you getting into the 13's.

A tune with your mods maybe high 13's. But then again, Auto tranny's and dyno's are bad combo's.
